The wine tasting season gets underway today with the opening of Divinum (11-16 April) in Morges, with 130 wineries taking part and more than 1,200 wines to taste. This is the second year for the wine fair, which was created when Arvinis left Morges for Montreux after the old CFF Halle building was torn down. Divinum was able to pull in 15,000 visitors in its first year, and wineries this year are taking part in both fairs.
Neuchatel wines are the guest of honour; if you don’t yet know them, this is a good opportunity to explore some very good wines and promising young producers.
This is also a good opportunity to sample oaked wines from the 2016 harvest, many of which were bottled only in the past couple of months.
Combine the wine fair under tents in the Parc des Sports with a visit to the magnificent tulip gardens next door, now in bloom.
