New schedule, changes go into effect Sunday

BERN, SWITZERLAND – The 2016 Swiss rail schedule goes into efffect Sunday 13 December : be sure to check that the train you’re planning to take is still running at the same time.

The CFF/SBB train company has a special online page dedicated to the changes, including a handy map. In the Lake Geneva region, changes have been made to the Geneva-Zurich lines via Biel/Bienne and Geneva-Brig through Lausanne.

Note that major works on the Lausanne-Renens line, which begin 1 January and will last for the entire 2016 year, will involve longer travel times for some passengers between Geneva and Lausanne.
