The dawn of Swiss blends

27/02/2014 by Ellen Wallace Leave a Comment

Swiss wine writer Pierre Thomas has re-posted on his blog an article he recently wrote on the state of blends in the Swiss wine business (article in French).

It’s a good overview that points to some excellent work done by a small group of pioneering producers in this country where there have been few exceptions to the rule that wines are made with a single grape variety. He addresses some of the issues such as the need for a critical mass for oaking wines.
