GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – In case you’ve forgotten, this is not a good day to take north-south autoroutes in Switzerland, with Easter/spring school holidays starting in several Swiss cantons and neighbouring countries.

Saturday morning saw a 1h30 delay for heading south through the Gotthard tunnel, with a 10km tailback.

The A1 heading towards Geneva is also heavy with traffic.
