GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – One entrance to the east side underground walkway, from the Metroshopping centre to the Lausanne side of Cornavin train station in Geneva, will be closed from 17 to 21 March, Monday to Friday.
The CFF rail company recommends that passengers use the west side passage, on the Geneva airport side of the station.
Final renovations at the station, with pedestrian traffic rerouted, include finishing the east side passage.
passengers using platforms 7 and 8 towards France should allow more time next week to reach their trains, since access is via the lower east side passage.
The new central passage with its very large CFF sales hall and several businesses will open to the public 24 April 2014, when work ends and the construction crews pull out of the passages and public areas.
The Business Point and CFF lounge will open 14 May.
The station’s official inauguration will be 18 September 2014.
