The bid for tender for the construction work will be held in 2014. The total CFF project has a CHF90 million budget.

The Ceva regional train project is already underway, with the preparation and digging for the underground tracks, but the station building work will start only in 2016. It will be ready for use by 2017 at the earliest, the CFF said Monday 30 September.

The new buildings, with eight floors of shops, offices and 90 apartments, will link the underground trains with an esplanade that will mix publi spaces and private, with a total of  340 apartments. The ground floor will be shops.
