Former Bosnian commander arrested at Geneva border
GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – Former Bosnian commander Naser Oric was arrested at the Thonex-Ballard border post in Geneva Wednesday afternoon by border guards and turned over to Geneva police. An international arrest warrant was issued for him in 2014, by Serbian authorities. He is wanted on charges of suspected war crimes for his involvement in the shooting deaths of nine people in Zalazje, a village near Sarajevo, in July 1992.
Oric was found guilty of war crimes in 2006 by the International Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, and sentenced to two years in prison, but he was acquitted two years later by the tribunal’s court of appeal. The arrest was reported promptly by Serbian media and confirmed Thursday in Geneva.
Migros group gets golden egg award

Migros and its group stores, including Denner this week were awarded the Good Egg trophy by the group Compassion in World Farming, for corporate food production policies that respect animals. The group also has awards for chicken, rabbit, pork and beef production methods that are in line with standards for compassionate farming. Sixty percent of eggs sold in the world still come from chicken batteries.
Switzerland has banned battery chicken farming since 1992 but importing fresh eggs from battery hens is still possible. Migros stopped importing them in 1996, and in 2011 the policy was extended to the group, which by then included low-cost supermarket Denner.
