Old cars, wines, new art building: a busy Lake Geneva weekend

01/10/2007 by Ellen Wallace

Lake Geneva region
(24 Heures, Fre) – It was a busy weekend of outings in the region: some 5,000 people attended the opening of the new home for Vaud’s cantonal art school in Lausanne while 15,000 headed for Lutry for the wine harvest festival. The colourful descent of the cows in St Cergue drew crowds as well. In Nyon the perfect weather pulled people into town for the lively annual autumn market, with its colourful fruits, vegetables and homemade products.

Ed. note: See the GenevaLunch photos of the cows by Betsy from Oz and a beautiful series of the Lake Geneva sailing races, the Challenge Julius Baer by Fi’s Space.
