Online buying for Swiss wines gets boost (correction)

04/07/2013 by Ellen Wallace

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND /AMONG THE VINES – Two specialist sellers of quality Swiss wines are combining their activities, a boost for Swiss wine fans.

Cellier Romand, which has been marketing discovery cartons of three quality wines a month from French-speaking Switzerland, has ceded its business to Swiss Wine Selection.

The latter is an online business started in 2011 that specializes in promoting artisanal winemakers from around the country to encourage recognition of high quality Swiss wines.

Hervé Badan, founder of Swiss Wine Selection, says of the deal, “This gives Cellier Romand’s clients access to a larger group of quality, rare products because our artisanal wine producers come from all the wine regions in Switzerland. And our  goals are the same: provide easy access, in just a few clicks, to exceptional wines and the world of these artisanal wine producers.”
