23/05/2008 by Ellen Wallace

Geneva, Switzerland (GenevaLunch)
– A reminder that Geneva’s vineyards are holding their lively annual open house Saturday 24 May and that public transport is strongly recommended.

The CFF is putting on extra trains: check out the schedule. The TPG in Geneva is offering free shuttlebus service. The reputation of Geneva’s vineyards has  grown rapidly in the past 10 years and the canton’s wines are now winning many awards. This is your chance to check them out.

Details, from our Events pages
Open house at wineries in canton Geneva, 24 May: not to be missed! Information on the Opage
(cantonal agricultural office) site. Be sure to check out Terrific
Terroir, published by Gail Mangold-Vine for Opage and available for
free from tourism offices, Off the Shelf bookstore and other outlets: it has a
good section on the wineries (see GL feature from May 2007).
