BERN, SWITZERLAND – The Swiss Foreign Affairs Department has confirmed to news agency ats that a Swiss tourist died in Kenya, near the beach in the resort of Diani.

The village is not far from the port of Mombasa. Few details are available except that the tourist appears not to have been the target. The gunmen were breaking into a shop; the shopkeeper was reportedly injured.
