GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – Coop is launching the first of its new “Coop to go” quick food shops at Zurich Stadelhofen 19 August, one week after Migro opened similar stores that are particularly appealing to a young urban population, report 24 Heures and 20 Minutes (Fr).
The latest shift away from traditional supermarkets follows the success for both stores of their online home shopping departments.
Coop plans to open 50 such shops in the next five years, the company said Tuesday in a press release.
