BERN, SWITZERLAND – A 23-year-old Geneva man and a couple aged 67 and 68 were killed Monday and Tuesday in the southern Philippines in two separate incidents, Swiss media are reporting; the Swiss Foreign Affairs office has confirmed the couple’s murder in near Opol, but not the youth’s death.
The couple, who lived in the Philippines, were shot Monday by a group of men as they entered a hotel. The youth, whose body was reportedly found Tuesday near a rice paddy, had been stabbed several times. He was wearing gold jewelry and several credit cards were found.
