Tour de Romandie to cause traffic disturbances in Vaud

Vaud, Switzerland (Genevalunch) – Traffic will be disrupted in canton of Vaud 29 April and 1-3 May due by cyclists racing in the Tour de Romandie. Traffic will be stopped progressively as the cyclists advance on their course. The Vaud cantonal police ask that drivers respect traffic restrictions and rerouting by security services (see schedule below).

The race will begin in Ouchy along the waterfront and pass through Montreux, Fribourg, and Yverdon-les-Bains before finishing on the Quai du Mont Blanc in Geneva. This year marks the 63rd Tour de Romandie.

Schedule:

  • Wednesday 28 April, Montreux to Fribourg
  • Thursday 29 April, La Chaux-de-fonds, loop
  • Friday 1 May, Yverdon-les-Bains (against the clock)
  • Saturday 2 May, Estavayer-le-lac to Sainte Croix
  • Sunday 3 May, Aubonne to Geneva
