01/09/2015 by Ellen Wallace

Expect autoroute detours this weekend

morges_train_station_evening_sm_190210GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – The A1 autoroute will be closed for short nighttime stretches several times this week, to allow workers to replace information panels.

Wednesday 2 September, 22:30 to 04:00 Thursday, the A1 between Meyrin and Bernex junctions will be closed: note that it will not be possible to take the autoroute in either direction;Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September from midnight to 02:00, road closed in both directions between the Etoile intersection (P+R) and the Perly (A1ap) exit;
Friday 4 September from midnight to 04:00, the autoroute entrance at Coppet/VD heading towards Geneva will be closed and drivers coming from Lausanne will  have to exit at Coppet.

Some Renens, regional trains replaced by buses

Work on the railway points system in Renens Sunday 6 September means much of the traffic through the station will be halted from 06:00 to 17:00. The work affects a number of trains in the region, some of which will be replaced by buses. For details see the CFF web page (Fr).
