Wine harvest festival, Bienne

25/10/2013 by Ellen Wallace Leave a Comment

A great opportunity to discover some of the beautiful Three Lakes region wines, home to several award-winning wines. The hamlet of Douanne has the largest wine harvest, or vendange, festival in the Biel/Bienne area. Suggestion – take advantage of the special CFF rail offer with an additional stop added at Douanne during the festival. The festival at Twann is also well worth a visit. These vineyards have a surprisingly large number of grape varieties and terroirs, thanks to the changing landscape and microclimates. Enjoy!
