Chasselas Aigle Grand Cru AOC Chablais, Domaine de la Baudelière

ELLEN’S WINE WORLD / SWISS WINE – White wine, Aigle Grand Cru AOC Chablais. Winery: Domaine de la Baudelière, Aigle, canton Vaud

Notes: Wonderful nose of tilleul flowers; in mouth the flinty aromas found in the best Aigle and Yvorne terroirs. Suggested serving temperature is 12C, warmer than many people normally serve white wine, but it’s good at this temperture. Small winery run by mother-daughter team Christine and Stephanie Delarze.

Grape variety: Chasselas (20 year old vines)

Where I enjoyed this: Tasting session with 12 Vaud winemakers, organized by the Office de Vins Vaudois 2 October in Lausanne

Sample price: CHF14.50, winery price
