Swiss ski resorts have all-time record visitors

Switzerland (TSR, Fre) – The global economic crisis may hit the ski slopes yet, but so far it hasn’t happened: most Swiss ski resorts registered record numbers of visitors during the last week of 2008, with Verbier’s director saying numbers were up 33%, reports TSR.

Geneva Airport growth continues despite economy: 11 millionth passenger lands

Good news for foreign skiers landing in Geneva

Geneva, Switzerland (20 Minutes Fre) – There is good news for the 100,000 people expected to pass through Geneva’s Cointrin Airport during each of the three holiday weekends coming up: border guards are opening up four instead of the usual two passport controls.

Third rail line pleas rebuffed by Parliament
