GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – The arrivals and departures boards at Geneva and Zurich airports say it simply: no flights to and from Spain today, thanks to a general strike in Spain, part of the larger “European Day of Action and Solidarity”.

Reuters reports 32 people were arrested early Wednesday morning 14 November. Spain and Portugal are coordinating their strikes and Greece, Italy, France and Belgium are taking part in varying degrees in the strike against tough austerity measures.
