Eric Asimov, the excellent wine writer/critic for the New York Times has just published one of the best articles I’ve read on wine, consumer attitudes and the American market. None of which would make it worth reading to most of us outside the USA except that so much of it applies to the rest of us, outside the USA. Just read it, really. Your starting point is here, the Wine School.

I don’t think I’ve ever had any of these wines, to my surprise. Have you?
