Swiss adds new September destinations from Geneva
GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – The travel bug is sure to bite, if it hasn’t already, thanks to new deals from the CFF/SBB rail company and airline Swiss.
Swiss has announced two changes that will benefit travelers from Geneva. Starting in September the company will offer direct flights from the city to Belgrade, Gothenburg, London-Gatwick, Marrakech, Stockholm and Oslo.
Swiss will be giving Easyjet a run for its money with two new low-cost fares from Geneva, although a first look at these shows that many are not available for weekends.
Geneva Economy Light fare starts at CHF39 one-way and is designed for travelers with one light (8kg) carry-on bag.
Geneva Economy Flex fare allows you to check in a bag, with fares starting at CHF89 one way.
Rail travel savings
Swiss rail is offering 30 percent discounts on a number of day trips:
- Titlis Glacier Park
- The suspension bridge of the Great Aletsch Glacier
- Chillon Castle
- Ebenalp-Alpstein
- Adventure farm with apple maze
- Ritom-Piora region.
The company is also giving 30 percent discounts on a number of park & ride spaces to encourage you to leave your car at home while you travel in Switzerland this summer.
