The whiskey and the apple

09/04/2014 by Ellen Wallace Leave a Comment

antique-apples“Whiskey, you’re the devil” is the start of a song by Ireland’s Clancy Brothers that I’ve always liked. It came right to mind when I saw a new line of apple design pottery from my favourite Irish pottery, Nicholas Mosse, whom I got to know when I lived on the west coast of Ireland.

Tucked in with the new line of dishes (check out the pile cooling stand) is one of Susan Mosse’s always-excellent recipes, this one for antique apples. I don’t think you even need to read English to make this.

Guess what you get to add to your apples? I think I probably have just the right amount in the cupboard, mmmm.
